World Record : Most hockey passes completed in one minute

Hockey players had gathered in National Hockey Stadium Lahore and completed 43 passes in one minute, during the Punjab Youth Festival, setting the new world record for the Most hockey passes completed in one minute.

The Guinness world record for the longest marathon playing street hockey is 105 hr 17 min, and was achieved in the fundraiser 'Hockey for Life' in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest marathon playing field hockey is 34 hr 00 min and was achieved by members of Crawley Hockey Club (UK) at Hazelwick School in Crawley, West Sussex, UK.

Field hockey is the national sport of Pakistan. In the past, the Pakistan hockey team had set a world record of four Hockey World Cup titles.

The 11-member team comprising Faisal Rasheed (Sheikhupura), Hafiz Saeedul Hassan (Hafizabad), Hassaan Ubaid, Shah Rukh Tariq, M Waseem Sarwar, Ali Raza (Punjab University), Ali Butt (PTV), Sultan Ashraf (Pakistan Steel), Awaisur Rehman (PHF Academy), M Azfar Yaqoob (PIA) and Atif Baig (Police) set a world record of 43 passes in one minute.

Officials from Guinness World Records were present on the occasion and confirmed that a world record of most passes in one minute had indeed been made.

Sohail Abbas holds the current world record – of 338 goals – for most international goals scored by a player in the history of international field hockey.
